Lavender Essential Oil review

I first came across the Lavender Essential Oil when my third born child was having trouble sleeping at night.

She always sounded congested and her sleep was more restless than sound.

In the beginning we thought it was just a cold but when it seemed to only happen at night, we began to do a little research.

Not a big fan of over the counter medicines, and not one to jump the gun and call the doctor over every little ailment, I began talking with my massage therapist, who recommended that I try lavender essential oil.

She told me to place a drop on each ear lobe and that should help ease her into a restful sleep. It worked!

Benefits of lavender

We all know the benefits of lavender: its capability to eliminate anxious pressure, reduce discomfort, disinfect scalp and skin, improve blood flow, and treat breathing difficulties.

Perhaps going to bed in her crib at night made her nervous, we didn’t know. After all, she couldn’t talk yet.

And maybe she did have a little respiratory infection that caused her symptoms to be worse at night (makes sense if you are a parent who has gone through this). It didn’t matter, the Lavender Essential Oil worked and she began sleeping a lot better at night.

I was soon pleased to find out that the benefits of this product would go much further than helping my daughter sleep.

Other benefits of Lavender Essential Oil

Everyone in the household would be able to benefit from the lavender essential oil, at one time or another, which made it worth the price:

  • Lavender Essential Oil can be used for a facial or body massage.
  • The Lavender Essential Oil helps relieve muscle pain caused by overworked or stressed joints.
  • Lavender Essential Oil is an antibacterial and antiseptic.
  • Lavender Essential Oil helps relieve nervous tension brought forth by the stresses of everyday life.

Who can use Lavender Essential Oil

Skin that is oily, blemished or menopausal can also benefit from using this product and the Lavender Essential Oil can be mixed with other essential oils to pin point specific areas of concern.

I have used it on my teenager’s acne, again, because it’s an antibacterial. I have used it on my own skin for the calming effects and my husband believes it has helped the nervous tension in his neck.

Ingredients

The ingredients that makes the Lavender Essential Oil as good as it is are Jojoba Oil (Buxus Chinesis) and Lavender Oil (Lavendula, Officinalis). That’s it!

Don’t you find it a great feeling to use such natural ingredients? How many times have you picked up a product and seen 5, 10 or even 15 separate ingredients? A lot!

And I felt good as a parent taking a more natural approach to treating my infant child. Who would want to put anything less than natural on the face of a newborn baby?

But it didn’t stop there. We still use the Lavender Essential Oil today, even as they have grown. And it always seems to do the job!

Other Customer Reviews

I like this product because it smells great and just a touch of it helps clear up my skin.

There is a difference between a lavender “perfume oil” (mostly synthetic) which smells much nicer than a pure essential oil. Pure oils are not synthetic, and are responsible for the healing properties of oils…

The purity of this oil is excellent and great for all uses requiring a pure essential oil. As a licensed aromatherapist (UK & NZ), I am quite happy with this oil-it is a great value for the price.

I don’t use that particular lavender essential oil but I think that is as good as the one I have. I’ll have to check if it’s 100% pure. Good post.
